Mike Beaumont

2009 has been a year to remember for trance DJ Mike Beaumont.
A true clubber at heart, the real spark for this man’s DJing career came from his debut visit to the mighty Gatecrasher night at the late Republic for the 8th Birthday. Having been introduced to the premier clubbing experience, he left wanting more which is where his quest throughout trance began!
The next few years saw Mike put in the hours as a bedroom DJ with the odd party thrown in here and there. 2008 was a big year for the DJ however, where he teamed up with local friends in hometown Newark to become co-founder and resident DJ at the WHT Room as well as co-presenter of the weekly radio show Breaking Boundary Sounds; a showcase of electronic music. The stage was set for move to Sheffield where the sets were taken to the next level.

Having played alongside a host of the industries most established DJs, Mike has become a familiar name throughout the club scene, following what can only be described as an explosive debut at the Sheffield Carling Academy’s Noize where he closed the night in dramatic style having followed on from Armada's Mike Foyle. This soon led on to the announcement of resident for the event as well as Sheffield's weekly trance night, Statik. Since then, Mike has rubbed shoulders with some of the best names in the business including John Askew, Cosmic Gate, Sean Tyas, The Tidy Boys, Duderstadt, Judge Jules, Activa, and Mat Zo to name but a few.

Priding himself on his diverse sounding trance sets, he finds inspiration from many of the greats on the circuit including the likes of Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Sander Van Doorn and Richard Durand. With such an obvious passion for his music, expect to hear the perfect blend of driving sounds with spine-tingling euphoric riffs delivered with an infectious energy of which this DJ is already well renowned for throughout sets of the highest calibre.
2009 has been an amazing year for Mike, having played at some of the leading trance nights running throughout the country today. Highlights include closing the night at Amplified in Derby with John Askew and Ben Gold, being asked to play Leeds’ biggest trance night, Digital Society in the sought after Invitation Room as well as pre-party duties for the legendary Gatecrasher’s White Party and 16th Birthday events. All this, not to mention an Ibiza debut where every DJs dream was fulfilled with Mike playing a hat-trick of sets including a house set at Plastik, progressive set over the sunset at The Orange Corner and euphoric trance set in the Corner Bar, showing the man’s versatility in his tune selection.
Beaumont also had the honour of making his OTR (Off The Rails) debut in September, where the event made a long awaited return as part of the Insomniacz 10th Birthday in Sheffield. What can only be described as an explosive performance along side good friend and fellow DJ Swap, Mike was announced as one of the new OTR residents for much anticipated re-launch come October.

With the ultimate dream to get behind the decks throughout the countries super-clubs, this man is not going to stop until he reaches the top and with creating an atmosphere like no other, he’s well on his way.
